A Daley Labor Government has today committed to the construction of a new Police Station in Revesby with funding from its $80 million investment to upgrade Police Stations across NSW.
The current Revesby Police Station was built in 1953 and it’s clear the amenities and facilities no longer meet the needs of a modern-day police force.
A key focus of these upgrades will be to improve security to ensure Police Officers and members of the community feel safe when they attend the Police Station.
Under Labor’s plans, the existing Revesby Police Station will be demolished to make way for the construction of a new, purpose-built Police Station to cater to the ever increasing demands placed on our hardworking Police Officers.
In the 12 months to September, 2018 there were 1,540 incident of assault on law enforcement premises – an increase of 20% compared to the previous year.
