A Daley Labor Government will build a new North West Public Hospital.
Labor’s new hospital will give families in Sydney’s north-west more options to access high quality public health care.
Labor will deliver a state of the art hospital to ensure families in Sydney’s north-west can access the health care they need in their own community.
Labor’s $700 million investment in the North West Public Hospital will be the largest investment in public health in Sydney’s north-west by a State or Federal Government.
The new North West Public Hospital will provide specialist newborn, child and maternal health services to meet the needs of young families in the north-west. This will include:
- Maternity services;
- Obstetrics and paediatric wards;
- A special care nursery; and
- A women’s clinic.
The hospital’s services will also include:
- An emergency department;
- Operating theatres;
- Diagnostic services;
- Oncology; and
- Outpatient services to treat residents in north-west Sydney.
The new North West Public Hospital will have up to 300 beds and will operate as part of the Western Sydney Local Health District or the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
Construction will begin within the first term of a Daley Labor Government - creating more than 1500 jobs during the construction phase.
